Caveats & next steps

Read this before you share the dashboard

  • Target = 1,000, not zero: new requests never stop, so the backlog can’t clear to zero. 1,000 is the realistic steady-state floor — that’s the reference line everywhere on this dashboard. Today’s 2,882 is +1,882 above target.
  • Historical data: full 583-day extract from the uploaded workbook (Jan 2, 2024 → Apr 15, 2026). Rate baseline is the last 30 business days (Completed 515 ± 110/day, Inflow 493 ± 114/day), giving a net clearing rate of ~22/day.
  • Phantom Work (MISC + REV): these two buckets rarely have a To-Do count in the source sheet but together were the largest Completed buckets last quarter (10,088 MISC + 1,555 REV). The “Phantom Work” KPI and the quarterly bucket chart surface them so they stop hiding. Confirm with CS whether they bypass the To-Do workflow intentionally.
  • Data cleanups: 12 days across the history showed single-day backlog swings >700 (mass deletes/re-imports in the source sheet, e.g. 3/22/24, 6/9-11/25, 8/1/25, 12/9-12/25, 1/28-29/26). Those points were linearly interpolated so they don’t distort the trend line. Raw values are preserved in the source .xlsx.
  • Projection horizon: through Dec 31, 2026 (~184 business days). The shaded band grows with √time to reflect uncertainty. At the current +22/day net burn, we hit 1,000 around mid-August 2026.
  • Today (4/16): in progress — not yet snapshotted in the workbook. The “current week” charts use the last 3 full business days (Mon 4/13 – Wed 4/15).
  • Alec shows 0 on 4/14 but 75 on 4/15; Stacy was OUT on Tuesday. “No activity” flags need CS-lead context before acting.
  • MISC is the biggest Completed bucket; ADN is the biggest open bucket. If ADN has a single root-cause (e.g., a specific doc the client isn’t producing) that’s the highest-leverage fix for getting to 1,000.
  • Abbreviations (VDP, ADN, LWC) are placeholder guesses. Confirm with the CS team and I’ll update labels.
  • This HTML dashboard is static — drop the latest workbook into the Upload button at the top of the page to refresh, and everything re-renders in-browser.
